As part of Dow's 2010 Olympic sponsorship, Dow is pleased to support the Vancouver Olympic Committee (VANOC) in meeting its 'Zero Waste' sustainability goal. In particular, Dow and VANOC will work together to showcase integrated solid waste management options including recycling, litter awareness and prevention. Specific sustainability programs are being developed, and will include recycling of temporary wire & cable, temporary signage, and venue wastes used and generated during the Games. It is our desire that this effort will assist VANOC increase the awareness of environmental life cycle thinking, and leave a positive legacy for the people of British Columbia, and Canada.
